Position description

We are currently looking for a Scaffolding Engineer for our client in France. It is an exceptional chance to participate in the world’s largest nuclear fusion project, ITER, taking place in Cadarache. This international joint experiment is step into the future, aiming to harness the energy of fusion. This is a permanent role for a long-term duration. 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Scaffolding supervision on site
  • Responsible for the operational management of the scaffolding including cost estimate and invoice checking
  • Responsible for the supervision of contractors compliance with the scaffolding and other shared services requirement
  • Responsible for acceptance of scaffolding  (with mandatory documentation) from the contractors
  • Assist the tender process for scaffolding services procurement


  • International experience of managing contractors in a large scale project environment
  • Experience in programme and project management and planning 
  • Knowledge of the European regulations for specific scaffolding equipment (material, installation, initial and periodic inspection). 
  • Qualified scaffolding inspector following the European Regulation or other recognized  system
  • More than 10 years of international Construction experience
  • More than 7 years of established experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with creative solution and problem solving skills


  • Fluent in English 
  • French language skills considered as a benefit
