We are currently looking for Project Managers for our client in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Our client is hiring now for a permanent role.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Participate the sales phase to ensure the Project Proposal, especially Scope of Work, Scope of Responsibilities and schedule, are realistic to execute and ready to be handed over for delivery process.
Manage the projects according the contract and Clients delivery process safely in compliance with agreed project scope, schedule, cost and quality. In fixed price sales, deliver strictly and only what has been sold
Track project's scope, schedule and costs for changes. Prepare change request of any deviation and lead the customer approval process
Responsibility of the project profitability, ensure projects deliver in minimum the gross margin defined in sales phase. In frame agreement portfolios monitor that projects' operating profit is in minimum within the portfolio target
Maintain a strategic focus for the project with frequent interaction with the internal partners to ensure a balance between the immediate project needs and the long term goals of the client
Ensure that projects meet the clients quality standard and contract requirements and that project team understands project scope and schedule
Ensure efficient communication and information sharing between client disciplines and other project stakeholders
Develop and implement mitigation plans for off-schedule/budget/deliverables, unanticipated occurrences and risks
Ensure that project execution shall fulfill requirements of law and authorities and that all required permits (e.g. building permit) have been granted. Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements
Report projects' status to steering group or Portfolio Manager and Customer periodically as agreed, by default least once per month
Maintain project's data promptly up to date in clients ERP -system
Ensure and assist preparation of Customer invoices and approve them for invoicing
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
Project Management studies and certification such as PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP)
Minimum 5 years industrial related project management experience in an EPCM environment
Leadership and human resources management skills
Project scheduling skills by utilizing Project Management Software such as MS Project or Primavera. Basic Microsoft Office skills with applications such as MS excel
Possesses a general understanding of contract administration, business principals and business law
Possesses broad understanding of each clients engineering discipline
Effective communication skills in English (mandatory) both verbally and in writing. Other language skills are an advantage
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent in English
Other language skills are an advantage
