Construction Managers

Position description

We are currently looking for Construction Managers for our client in Rotterdam, Netherlands.Our client is hiring now for a permanent role. 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manage the projects construction according the contract and client delivery process safely in compliance with agreed project scope, schedule, cost and quality
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors. Will be responsible budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the project
  • Participate scheduling and cost estimation process supporting project manager and project control for construction phase
  • Track project's scope, schedule and costs for changes. Report possible change requests of any deviation and lead
  • Ensure that projects meet the clients quality standard and contract requirements and that project team understands project scope and schedule
  • Ensure efficient communication and information sharing between supervisors, contractors, engineering disciplines and other project stakeholders
  • Develop and implement mitigation plans for off-schedule/budget/deliverables, unanticipated occurrences and risks
  • Ensure that project execution shall fulfill requirements of law and authorities and that all required permits (e.g. building permit) have been granted. Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements
  • Report projects' status to Project Manager and Customer periodically as agreed

Requirements

 

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in construction management, engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years industrial related construction management experience in an EPCM environment
  • Strong experience in site supervision and can handle large scale and complex site supervision assignment independently, also covering several engineering disciplines
  • Understanding of key principles of requirements based on legislation guidelines and approved standards in order to protect health, safety, environment and property
  • Strong leadership and human resources management skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Project scheduling skills by utilizing Project Management Software such as MS Project or Primavera. Basic Microsoft Office skills with applications such as MS excel
  • Possesses a general understanding of contract administration, business principals and business law
  • Possesses broad understanding of each Neste Engineering Solutions' engineering discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Effective communication skills in English (mandatory) both verbally and in writing. Other language skills are an advantage
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English
